At Green Onion Publishing, we find the best publishing experiences arise when everyone works together – essential in the case of the author and editor. Our preliminary discussions will define the scope of your project and bring you and our editor together as a team. While you will provide the ideas and style, our editor will shape the work so core concepts will be easily and clearly communicated to your readers. We will ensure that your theme and style are maintained, so it is important that we be in synch with each other and understand the ultimate goal of the project.

Founded in 2000, we work with publishers in the legal, tax and trade fields, as well as with professionals who self-publish. Over the years we have produced products in the areas of personal finance, self-help, small business, law (criminal, family, trust, real estate, tax and business), business management, military history, sports and wine. Our range of products include hard and soft covers, workbooks, looseleaf books, brochures, promotional letters, catalogues and articles. We’ve been involved in CD-Rom products and web sites.

Our founder, Catherine Leek, started in the publishing business in the mid-80s with Canada’s largest legal publishing house. There she learned the basics in book production, scheduling, budgeting and trouble-shooting.

Catherine moved over to trade publishing where she broadened her knowledge of the publishing industry. Working in a small division within a large house, she came to understand the needs within the marketing, sales and promotional departments.

Green Onion Publishing works with a network of experienced professional editors, formatters, indexers, printers and other publishing specialists.
